I am having a solo show at the Incinerator in six months time, so I’m trying to get a lot of work done so that I have as many options as possible. I’m working to the theme ‘Lucent’, so all the pieces will have something to do with light, (or its absence, perhaps..)
This is waxed paper, folded, with stitching in silver thread. I bought the thread at a stoop sale in Brooklyn, so I’m really enjoying remembering my short time there, while I stitch. My needle makes lovely circular marks in the paper that let the light through.
Thanks, Mo and Nicki. There is still a long way to go with this piece.
Ooohh! Like this!

oh this is lovely!
Thanks everyone. Mari, I’ll wait and see….perhaps I’ll light it from behind.
Hello Anthea. You always have interesting ideas. I like the looseness of the threads. It makes one want to look at it even more. I have a tendency to make things tight. Lucent should be a great solo show!
Really like these!
This is really beautiful Anthea. Do you think you’ll display it with light behind the piece?
